This workshop aims to help teachers understand the importance of having a leaders’ mindset. Their current mental models will be surfaced and revisited, where they will understand the importance of speaking in the language of the Growth Mindset. What parents and senior management expect of teachers will be workshopped, discussed and clarified through active discussion and role play. The same process will be used in surfacing students’ expectations of teachers and why it is important to speak the language of responsibility while delivering quality in every task that they are assigned. They will learn the essentials of leadership, its challenges and pitfalls, and how to help their students acquire the mindset of leaders. They will also be given authentic scenarios demonstrating leadership in action. Besides the above, they will look at characteristics of a teacher with a leadership mindset and traits of successful schools. They will also be given case studies of conflict situations and how teachers with a leadership mindset will resolve the situation.
